Steck Park offers access to Brownlee Reservoir along the Snake River from the Idaho side of Hell’s Canyon. The park is at the southern end of the 56-mile-long reservoir, not far from the town of Weiser. Brownlee is among Idaho’s most heavily fished waters, and each year, some 10,000 visitors use the site to enjoy boating and prime catfish, crappie and smallmouth bass fishing – considered the best in Idaho and Oregon.Visitors can camp in two areas. The lower campground is in the older shaded part of the park and provides 21 sites (16 of these for RVs). The newer area has 29 RV sites, four of which are group sites.
