Explore Tours

This 31 acre park is one of the more popular Class A campgrounds along the Mississippi River. It has 53 concrete sites all with 50 amp electrical service and the peaceful serene view of the river makes this a great place to relax and camp. Located within Shady Creek is a mile long flat grass trail that meanders through the wooded area between the campground and highway 22. Woodcock, deer, turtles, and other wildlife can be seen along this short and easy trail.

This busy recreation area is open from May 1 through the fourth Sunday in October. Reservations are encouraged to guarantee you have a spot to camp when you arrive. This is especially true for holiday weekends. You’ll want to be sure to make your reservations well in advance. The remainder of the year the park is accessible to day users; while the first eleven sites are open to camping with limited facilities due to winter weather.
