The 318-acre Simon B. Elliott State Park is in the heart of Moshannon State Forest. This entirely wooded park offers picturesque areas of swamp meadows and a forest of typical second growth mixed hardwood and oak timber. Winter enthusiasts use the park as a starting point for snowmobiling. Travelers on Interstate 80 find the park a nice resting spot to stretch their legs and enjoy the wooded park. The park’s signature style, created by the Civilian Conservation Corps, offers some of the most unique CCC construction in the state.
