Ponderosa Group Campground (Bandelier National Monument)

Ponderosa Group Campground is located on State Route 4, six miles west of the park entrance and near the turnoff to Los Alamos, State Route 501. This campground is located at 7600 feet and is not open during the winter. It is usually available from mid-April through late October. Unlike Juniper Family Campground, reservations are required for Ponderosa Group Campground. Demand is high for this campground, which only has two sites.
