Our campsite was built in 1968 by Cliff and Lee Hanson. Cliff, my dad, is a Two Harbors native. After 20+years in the US Navy, my folks decided this would be a good place to retire and finish raising their 4 children.
They bought several parcels of land and built the PENMARALLTER CAMPSITE, naming after their kids, Pennie, Marilyn, Allen and Terry.
In 1991 my husband, also a Two Harbors native, retired from the US Navy, in 1992 we purchased the campsite from Dad and Mom.
