This season, Myrtle Beach Travel Park is celebrating its 52nd year of creating memorable family-oriented camping experiences. Since opening for its first guests in the summer of 1970, Myrtle Beach Travel Park has become a family favorite for multiple generations who spend long and short breaks from home enjoying the beach and the endless activities the park and surrounding area offers.
Initially, a franchisee operating under the name of Holiday Travel Park, the operators decided in 1980 not to continue with the franchiser and changed the name to Myrtle Beach Travel Park. In 1985 the land lease was not renewed by the original operators, and the property owner’s family assumed operational responsibilities. A management team was hired to transform the park into the first choice for family camping. Over the years, under the guidance of the family members, the facilities and amenities have been consistently maintained and upgraded to the standards our guests have come to enjoy.
