Kingston Lake Campground

Explore Tours

This rustic campground is located on a peninsula in Kingston Lake. The lake and campground lie on the northern edge of the Kingston Plains, a sea of stumps that recalls the logging boom of the late 1800’s. The campground is almost entirely surrounded by water, which makes it ideal for paddle sports. The campground also offers hiking opportunities on the Fox River Pathway. Hikers can take the pathway four miles to Lake Superior or complete the southern portion of the 27.5-mile trail ending in Seney. A boat launch and a picnic area are located on the northeast side of the campground. Kingston Lake is the closest state forest campground to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Visitors can travel east or west on H-58 directly from the campground to explore the park.
