Green River Oaks Camping Resort has been operating in Amboy, Illinois since 1972. Dennis and Nanette Gillan purchased the 130 acre campground in the fall of 2013 and together with their family are now in their eleventh season. Sadly, Dennis passed away in July of 2023, but his dream will live on as Nanette and family continue his dream of campground ownership. The Gillans were frequent customers of the prior owners and saw the beauty and potential of the property. Since making the purchase, they have done countless updates and upgrades to the property, buildings, amenities and services offered. They continue to make investments in the park and the future of the resort.
