Green Mountain Campground offers that special blend of being far enough from town that there is no corner store while being close enough that the drive to and from home is a part of the total pleasant getaway. Located southwest of Denver, CO at an elevation of 7,500 feet, Green Mountain Campground offers a wonderful opportunity for individuals or families to enjoy the great outdoors. Southfork Creek runs through the campground and numerous trails provide ample hiking and biking opportunities only a mile away. Green Mountain Campground is a VERY popular campground. Because it has been listed in so many recreation guides and books, people tend to show up on Thursday for weekend camping. All sites are first come first served and must be occupied to be considered saved. Almost every weekend is packed at this campground.
