This KOA is just 15 minutes from Carolina Crossroads Music and Entertainment District in Roanoke Rapids-also home to the Roanoke Canal Trail. Rocky Mount offers the Imperial Centre with galleries, a digital planetarium and a children’s museum. The Dunn Center for the Performing Arts has a variety of entertainment. Nearby, Scotland Neck hosts the world’s largest collection of waterfowl at Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park and Eco-Center, open year-round. Spend a day in Raleigh or at the beach. Tour Historic Halifax and go antiquing. Just 4 miles away is Hickory Meadows, an 18-hole public golf course-no tee times! This is a quiet country campground with no trains. There’s even a dog run for pets.
