Cane Creek Campground & RV Prk

Explore Tours

Cane Creek Campground sits on the Cane Creek mountain range and Cane Creek itself runs freely just a few miles away. It is near present day Snow Camp, in Alamance County, NC. As history has it some hunters from Pennsylvania camped near the Cane Creek during the winter of 1748. That winter brought snow two to three feet deep. The hunters had to cut trees for fire wood so they cut them the level with the snow. When the hunters and other settlers came back the following year they recognized the cut trees and the area became known as, Snow Camp. Nearby there is Cane Creek Friends Meeting Quaker Church. This church celebrated its 250 year history in October of 2001. Its the oldest active meeting in Piedmont, NC. As you can see there is a lot of rich history in this small town. We are anticipating your visit with us at Cane Creek Campground and making history in Snow Camp, North Carolina. We have been open since 2002

Please see our events page to find out the latest news and up coming events. John and I would like to dedicate the events page to the late John D. Maness, Sr. who was the founder of a popular bluegrass festival in Snow Camp, North Carolina and the inspiration to continue to grow as a campground.
