Welcome to Hippie Holler - step back in time when life was groovy! The Hippie Holler has a ton of character and is perfectly tucked away on 5 acres behind an 1850 farmhouse. The Hippie Holler campsite is a very private, quiet, safe and peaceful place to relax and recharge. You'll find a mowed grassy field, surrounded by beautiful woods and open skies above. There's a gravel drive n space for parking and the campsites are a super short walk. Unfortunately parking at campsite is no longer available due to the grass getting destroyed in the past ( sorry) It gets very dark at night here and it's the perfect setting for stargazing! The the common areas are chill. The property is near Crowders Mountain Park, which has great hiking, paddling, fishing, and rock climbing opportunities. Lake Wylie (really pretty kayaking and canoeing), US Whitewater Center, and Carowinds amusement park are also nearby. There are plenty of ways to get outside around here and find something that everyone will enjoy! Hippie Holler is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Charlotte, NC where you will find countless delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and much much more. Charlotte is a great city and a fun day trip if you've never been. This property was a dairy farm many years ago, and the home was built around 1850. The old cement silo still stands, and it's really neat because it looks like a castle turret. We have plans to turn it into a unique place to stay in the future! This property is too groovy not to share with others who appreciate historical places and quirky, down to earth hosts. We love meeting new people! We will meet guests upon arrival, and then we respect your privacy for the duration of your stay. However, we are available if needed, within reason...lol
