Cholla Campground

This is the largest all-solar powered campground in the United States. The Forest Service constructed it in cooperation with the Bureau of Reclamation. Cholla Recreation Site is located on Theodore Roosevelt Lake, central Arizonas largest lake. There are 206 camp units w/ shade ramadas, fire rings w/ grills, picnic tables, water hydrants. Toilets and showers are located throughout the camp loops, playgrounds, paved boat launch and fish cleaning station.
