We know that a campground is more than a pin on a map. It is land cared for, trails maintained, fires safely tended, guests welcomed, and memories made. CampgroundList exists to help the people behind those places tell their own story accurately and connect directly with the campers searching for them.
Where this began
Built from the campground out.
CampgroundList is owned by The Wanderland Society and was shaped by the real work of operating Wanderland Campground, a 72-acre retreat in the oak forests of Lookout Mountain in North Georgia.
Since opening in 2020, Wanderland has welcomed thousands of campers, including many people experiencing camping for the first time. That experience taught us something important: getting more people outside requires both inspiration and trustworthy information. Campers need confidence. Owners need control. Great places deserve to be discovered.

Jonathan L. Weston
Jonathan is the founder of Wanderland Campground and The Wanderland Society, and the author of Camping Is for Everyone. His work began with a belief that nature should feel approachable, inclusive, and free from intimidation.
What started as a personal commitment to a simpler, more intentional life grew into a campground, a nonprofit mission, and now a national effort to help the places that host outdoor life thrive. CampgroundList is an extension of that work: an invitation to campground owners to build a more useful, welcoming, and connected outdoor economy together.

No. CampgroundList is a discovery and information platform. Your claimed profile can send campers directly to the booking link you choose.
What if my campground is not listed?
You can add a missing campground in just a few minutes. Every submission is reviewed before publication so the directory remains useful and trustworthy.
What can I change after I claim my campground?
Claimed owners can keep essential listing information current, customize how the campground is presented, and add the preferred link where campers should book.
Why does claiming cost $49 per year?
The annual fee supports listing review, owner tools, directory maintenance, security, and the work required to keep CampgroundList useful for both travelers and campground operators. It also supports a broader outdoor mission led by The Wanderland Society.
What happens after I submit a claim?
We review the request to confirm the connection to the campground. Once approved, the owner can maintain and customize the listing through the owner experience.
